While walking around wrigleyville one day with good friend Elaine Osgood craving a grilled cheese we realized we could not think of a good place to get one. The light bulb turned on and wheels started spinning we began to wonder... is there a place to get grilled a good grilled cheese in Chicago??? Without hesitation Chris decided "Well if there is not one around then there is going to be one!" The very next day a 12 sandwich menu was written, 3 short weeks later he parted ways with his full time job and Just a few short month's later with the help of a few friends and a lot of luck rolling our way we have the birth of Cheesie's! Located at the southern tip of Chicago's Wrigleyville neighborhood. Here we specialize in many unique versions of everyone's childhood favorite sandwich... The Grilled Cheese! There is nothing gourmet about us for we believe a true American Classic Grilled Cheese Sandwich is not right if it is not loaded with flavorful butter and cheese that are easy to recognize, pronounce and afford! Our motto is that when you show up here you will be able to enjoy a great tasting sandwich where the cheese is always melted and the bread is never burnt at an affordable price all while sitting in a comfortable environment for all ages! With 7 core sandwiches on the board we make sure to leave room for more creativity by having a new sandwich of the month every month! 4 of our 7 sandwiches are vegetarian friendly! Just say no bacon! Come on in and try The Frenchie, The Popper or any other of our favorites. You may ask yourself what goes with Grilled Cheese? Well of course homemade soups, unique appetizers, and unique handcrafted beer. Our full bar is located in the rear of the restaurant with many different liquors and great tasting handcrafted beers. While our selection is always changing our price never does! It is a $4 BAR! All drinks, shots and beers are always just $4!!! (exceptions with redbull, rocks or martini's then the price sky rockets to $6) Crazy you say? Your not the first and wont be the last! So come on in to Cheesie's and give us a shot! (or take a shot) Did we mention that we have Capri Sun's for kid's as well as for the kid's inside us all?
